🗓 Day 1: Surabaya – Banyuwangi (Approx. 6 hours)

Our driver will pick you up from Juanda International Airport or your hotel in Surabaya. You will be transported in a private, air-conditioned vehicle directly to Banyuwangi, the gateway to Mount Ijen. The scenic journey takes around 6 hours.

🗓 Day 2: Mount Ijen Midnight Trek – Return to Surabaya

• 00:30 AM – Pick-up from your hotel
  Begin your journey to the base of Mount Ijen, passing lush plantations and one of Java’s last remaining rainforests. The drive takes approximately 1.5 hours.
• 02:00 AM – Begin Ijen Crater Trek
  Start your 1 to 1.5-hour hike to the summit. Along the trail, enjoy the cool mountain air, towering trees, and a starry sky. From the crater rim (2,883 meters), witness the stunning blue fire and panoramic views of the crater lake surrounded by volcanic cliffs.
• 04:00 AM – Observe sulfur miners
  Watch miners carry up to 80 kg of solid sulfur in traditional baskets along treacherous paths — an awe-inspiring and humbling sight.
• 06:00 AM – Return to hotel
  Hike down to the parking area, where your driver will take you back to the hotel for breakfast and a quick freshen up.
• 08:30 AM – Check out and return to Surabaya
  After breakfast, check out and continue the drive back to Surabaya. The estimated arrival time in Surabaya is late afternoon.

Terms and Conditions

1. Booking and Payment

• A minimum 30% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
• The remaining balance must be paid at least 1 day before the tour starts.
• Payments can be made via bank transfer, PayPal, or other methods as agreed.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• 7 days or more before departure: 100% refund of deposit.
• 3–6 days before departure: 50% refund of deposit.
• Less than 3 days before departure or no-show: No refund.

3. Rescheduling Policy

• Rescheduling requests must be made at least 72 hours prior to the tour date and are subject to availability.
• Any price differences due to new travel dates (e.g. weekends, high season) will be applied.

4. Travel Insurance

• We recommend all participants have personal travel insurance that covers hiking activities and unexpected cancellations.

5. Health and Safety

• The Ijen trek involves moderate physical activity. Travelers must be in good health and physical condition.
• Not recommended for individuals with asthma, heart conditions, or respiratory issues due to volcanic gases.
• Gas masks and headlamps are provided for your safety during the night trek.

6. Tour Inclusions and Exclusions

• Please refer to the “Included” and “Excluded” sections in the tour package details.
• Additional services requested during the tour (e.g., extra meals, porters) are the guest’s responsibility.

7. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for any cancellation or modification of the tour due to events beyond our control, such as:

• Natural disasters
• Government regulations
• Road closures
• Volcano activity or unsafe conditions

8. Liability

• We are not liable for any injury, loss, accident, delay, or damage to personal belongings during the tour.
• By booking this tour, participants agree to take full responsibility for their personal safety and behavior.

9. Code of Conduct

• Respect nature, local communities, and sulfur miners at all times.
• Littering and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
